A golf course is never build for eternity. Older golf courses tend to lose something of both their quality and charm over time. This results from, on the one hand that special features such as bunkers, within the framework of simplified greenkeeping practices, tend to be neglected, and on the other hand as a result of outmoded construction practices. In addition the technical skills and rising expectations of the modern golfer mean that many older courses do not meet with their requirements.
To raise the quality and design of older golf courses we offer the following services:
Restoration of the golf course to its original form using historical maps and photographs.
Renovation of the golf course: Improvement of the golf course in respect of playing quality, level of difficulty, maintenance, drainage and construction materials. We provide a complete strategy which prescribes which aspects of the golf course have priority to be renovated. The detailed construction plans are prepared. This gives the client the possibility to select any step, as he deems it to be necessary, and to carry it out.
Redesign of the golf course: The redesign of a golf course is required in respect of golf courses that lack artistic and architectural quality and which are boring, uninteresting and unchallenging to play. We provide a full concept that takes into account the elimination of all the fundamental defects in the areas of green design, hole routings, direction of play etc.
To ensure problem free execution of all reconstruction work in respect of the members and continued use of the course we offer the following services:
Supplying of a statement of requirements: This takes into account the structure of the membership, the quality of the neighboring clubs and the expected changes over the next few years.
Supplying of a financing plan: This plan shows in detail the costing for each individual measure.
Supplying of a course-plan: This plan shows in detail the time schedules of all reconstruction work which is essential for allowing the continued use of the course.
