Extension to 27 holes
The Hetzenhof GbRmbH golfing facility extended the existing 18-hole golf course by an additional nine holes. On relatively spectacular and sloping terrain, which had natural plateaus, new fairways were laid out between prominent fruit trees. A total of twelve new holes were created – three holes of the existing course were closed off and a further six were incorporated into the resulting two 9-hole loops.
Year of construction
Dynamic landscape
An attractive and exciting landscape has been created into which the new golf course is harmoniously integrated.
Water supply
To ensure the water supply, which was designed for only 18 holes prior to the expansion, a new large storage pond was constructed in the area of the existing first nine holes. In the process, a relatively featureless par 3 was transformed into a visually appealing par 4.
Ecology & Sustainability
The numerous no-play-areas that could not be used for play were effectively used to develop valuable grasslands and sun-exposed leaner areas. Together with the fairways running on natural plateaus, well “networked” natural areas were created. Maintenance efforts could thus be positively influenced on a long term basis.
Layout-Plan
In the course of the extension, some holes of the old golf course were rerouted, transformed and reintegrated unchanged.
