Directly adjacent to the village of Grassau, a new 18-hole golf course was created in the course of a complete redesign and expansion of the Achental golf resort. Bordering an approx. 600ha FFH area to the north, a golf course for purely resort purposes was created which captivates with its wealth of nature. The golf course, intentionally not too long, offers numerous large ponds, brooks and wet meadows as a visual experience. The high standard of maintenance adds to making the course a golfing experience. Together with the 4-star category hotel and its spacious spa facilities, the golfing experience is complete.

Special features

With 5 par-3 holes as well as other shorter par 4 holes, the golf course, despite its 16 holes with water obstacles , provides great opportunities for a positive golfing experience. Thus, a round of golf in Grassau is not only an experience of nature, but a golfing one too. Top-class, interestingly designed and challenging greens also play their part. The lakeside house with lakeside terrace is second to none as a halfway house.

Water, Water, Water ...

The high groundwater level coupled with the rather flat terrain has led to the fact that water became the defining element of the Chiemsee course. Large areas of water and renaturalized, formerly straightened streams not only catch the golfer’s eye visually but accompany him on 16 of the 18 holes. Ecology & Sustainability

The nature-conservation sensitive environment of the golf course, with a precious Natura 2000 area to the north, not only required a natural design of all water and meadow areas as it was specified from the beginning as a solution approach for the approval process. The result is a high-quality golf course in the midst of charming nature.
